Application Guide

HOW TO USE

Get maximum protection from every application. Four steps — don't skip any of them.

01

Apply Generously Before Training

Apply generously 15 minutes before outdoor activity. Use enough — don't be stingy. Under-application reduces SPF effectiveness.

Most people apply only 25–50% of the recommended amount. Apply until the product is visible, then blend in. For face and neck, use at least a 50p coin amount.
02

Cover All Exposed Areas

Cover face, neck, ears, arms, legs and all other exposed skin. Don't forget your ears, the back of your neck, and the tops of your feet.

Cricketers: pay special attention to the back of your hands. Cyclists: neck and forearms are high-risk zones. Runners: don't skip the top of your head if you're not wearing a cap.
03

Reapply When Needed

Reapply after heavy sweating, swimming, towel drying, or after 2–3 hours of continuous sun exposure.

Solar Punk is sweat-resistant, not sweat-proof. After a high-sweat session, reapply to maintain full protection. Carry the tube in your kit bag.
04

Keep It In Your Kit Bag

Solar Punk's 150g tube is designed for the kit bag — big enough for full body coverage, compact enough to carry everywhere.

Unlike 50g tubes that run out in a week, Solar Punk 150g gives you a full month of daily training coverage. One tube, total protection.
150g

Solar Punk's 150g tube gives you 30+ full-body applications. One tube = a full month of daily outdoor training coverage.

Quick Tips

COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID

Applying Too Little
SPF value is measured at 2mg/cm². Most people apply 25–50% of that. Be generous — use more than you think you need.
Skipping Reapplication
Even sweat-resistant SPF breaks down over time. After 2–3 hours or after a heavy sweat, reapply immediately — not at your next break.
Forgetting Hidden Spots
Ears, back of neck, top of feet, and the back of hands are the most missed areas. These are also some of the highest-risk zones for sun damage.
Applying Right Before Going Out
Chemical filters need 15 minutes to bind to skin. Apply before you put on your kit — not as you're walking out the door.

TIPS BY SPORT

🏏
Cricket
Apply 15 min before warm-up. Reapply at the innings break or every 2 hrs if fielding. Pay special attention to the back of hands, back of neck, and forearms — all exposed during long hours on field.
🏃
Running
Apply before your run, especially face, neck, and arms. For runs over 90 minutes, carry a small portion in a squeeze packet and reapply at a water stop. Use SPF-safe lip balm too.
🚴
Cycling
Helmet liner can wipe off SPF at the forehead — apply an extra layer there. Cover the full back of hands and forearms. Reapply every 2 hrs or after removing the helmet during a break.
Football
Apply before the warm-up. Halftime is your reapplication window — don't skip it. Sweat buildup is high in 45-minute halves, so a full face reapplication at the break is essential.
🥾
Trekking
UV intensity increases ~10% every 1000m in altitude. Reapply every 2 hrs regardless of cloud cover — clouds block visible light, not UV rays. Lips, nose, and ears need extra attention at high altitude.
🏊
Swimming
Apply generously 20 minutes before getting in the water. Reapply after every session and after towel drying — even sweat-resistant formulas wash off faster in water. Pool chlorine also degrades SPF faster.
